Mr. Zehm graduated from West Point as an Armor lieutenant in 1990. Since his time in the Army, he has earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Colorado in 1998, and an American Institute of Architecture Seattle Honor award for design in 1999. He attended the Owner-President Program at Harvard University Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2004. He has taught at the University of Colorado, UNLV, Central Washington University, and Wenatchee Valley College. He was introduced to online teaching by his friend & pedgogic mentor Matt Turnbell. 

Kris has his own small design firm, is a sci-fi nerd, and is passionate about the creative process and helping other artists give glory to God. Kris is involved with several local and national charities in addition to serving his own church. He loves to coach his girls' sports teams. He resides with his wife, son, and two daughters in Leavenworth, Washington.
